Today, on Saturday, the 1st of March, the Saturday of Cheesefare, we celebrated the Divine Liturgy in English. The service was officiated by Fr. Seraphim, assisted by Fr. Deacon Vladimir.
Fr. Seraphim offered a sermon on the often protracted struggle with forgiving, featuring some entertaining personal stories.
After the service, we gathered for our traditional breakfast meal. Several of us then went to an informal catechism class with Joshua Laurin, our seminary-educated parishioner, who also leads our English-language Bible study on Fridays as part of the activities of the Educational Center of St. Felix of Burgundy.
Our next service will be Divine Liturgy on Saturday, the 8th of March, at 9:30 AM, at St. Nicholas. Hope to see you there!
