Today, on Saturday, the 22nd of March, we celebrated the Divine Liturgy in English. The service was officiated by Fr. Seraphim.
Anticipating the Sunday of the Veneration of the Cross the next day, Fr. Seraphim offered a sermon on the protective power of the cross, and on sacrificing for the cross, with many real-life examples, ranging from the Old Testament, to Soviet repressions, and the life of the Russian Church abroad.
We then gathered for our traditional breakfast meal, followed by catechism class.
Our next service will be a prayer for the intercession of St. Felix of Burgundy, the patron saint of our choir, on Monday, March 24, at 15:00, at St. Nicholas.
We have two services next weekend. On Saturday, March 29, at 9:30, we will have our Divine Liturgy in English at St. Nicholas. The next day, on Sunday, March 30, at 11:00, we will visit St. Catherine’s to also pray and sing at Divine Liturgy in English.
