Today, on Saturday, the 5th of April, we celebrated the Divine Liturgy in English. The service was officiated by Fr. Seraphim.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anticipating the commemoration of St. Mary of Egypt the next day, Fr. Seraphim offered a sermon on the perverse early life and sudden repentance of St. Mary, on living a life of prayerful repentance, and on her eventual full restoration, accompanying the sermon by a difficult, yet beautiful, story from his own pastoral experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We then gathered for our traditional breakfast meal. This was followed by catechism class offered by Joshua Laurin for those wishing to become Orthodox, or simply learn more about the faith.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our next service will be Divine Liturgy on Saturday, the 12th of April, at 9:30 AM, at St. Nicholas. Hope to see you there!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
