On Saturday, the 8th of March, we celebrated the Divine Liturgy in English. The service was officiated by Fr. Seraphim, assisted by Fr. Deacon Georgiy.

Fr. Seraphim offered a sermon on prayer as the most important element of the fast, on the Triumph of Orthodoxy, in contrast to triumphalism about Orthodoxy, and commemorated Metropolitan Laurus, who, together with Patriarch Alexiy, negotiated the reunification of ROCOR with the Moscow Patriarchate.

After the sermon, Fr. Seraphim accepted a new catechumen into our parish, whom we are very glad to welcome!

We then gathered for our traditional breakfast meal, followed by informal catechism class.

Our next service will be Divine Liturgy on Saturday, the 15th of March, at 9:30 AM, at St. Nicholas. Hope to see you there!
