This past Saturday, the 23rd of November, we celebrated the Divine Liturgy in English. The service was officiated by Fr. Constantine, with Fr. German concelebrating, assisted by Fr. Deacon Georgiy.

On the occasion of the celebration of the Feast of Archangel Michael and all the Holy Angels earlier in the week, Fr. Constantine offered a sermon on the nature of angels, and in what specific senses we become like and unlike the angels after death.

After the service, we gathered together with the French group for a breakfast meal, which featured an extremely large cake offered by a local restaurant. At the end, Fr. Kleonik of the Exarchate of Africa shared some words with us about the current situation in Congo and its recent history.

Our next service will be Divine Liturgy on Saturday, the 30th of November, at 9:30 AM, at St. Nicholas. Hope to see you there!
